In Q-series the model Q100 plays the role of junior shelf monitor speakers. Structurally it is a two-way system with the front bass-reflex port and the cases differ by increased resistance to resonances. The patented by the company Uni-Q module of the last generation forms the basis of the construction, which underwent a number of changes in comparison with its predecessors. Among the most obvious changes we should allocate the operating range of the tweeter, advanced up (now it extends to 40 kHz) and also multi-lobe divider "Tangerine" which optimizes polar pattern. Low-frequency driver is equipped with light-alloy diffusor on a special profile, mounted on the branded Z-Flex suspension.

From the first minutes of the listening the speaker systems KEF Q100 amaze by unusually massive bass. And low-frequency range differs not only by great depth, but also by an excellent intelligibility. Above the range the systems behave in traditional for the British brand style. The middle is open and carefully worked out in tones. Vocal is maximally close to natural and horizontal piano's sections gladden by naturalness and harmony.

We can describe the sound of the tweeter in two words as extremely comfortable. While saving high sound resolution it does not allocate secondary nuances, staying utterly correct on any volume levels. There are no any claims to sound space at all - the only thing that can limit the parameters of the stage is not high enough class of the source.
